The residential area of Amsterdam Zuidoost is growing. The old office buildings, which were once an important characteristic of Amstel III, are making way for a green and mixed urban district that makes for pleasant living and recreation. Between now and 2027, approximately 10,000 smaller townhouses will be built. In terms of space, this is quite feasible: the area measures no less than 200 football fields.

Schools, a health and youth center, neighborhood function rooms and various exciting start-ups ensure that Amstel III is not only a nice place to live, but also a neighborhood where you can do a lot of fun things. Due to the presence of two metro lines, a railroad connection (Bijlmer ArenA station is nearby), the A2 and several bus connections, Amstel III is also one of the most accessible places in the entire country.

The municipality of Amsterdam was looking for a digital alternative of a physical maquette. One that is flexible, accessible and inclusive. It had tobe attractive and suitable for the public as well as functional and detailed enough for project developers.

Crozzroads has developed a digital interactive 3D maquette that brings together the existing buildings and structures next to new developments and its surroundings. It comes in two versions: a physical one on touch tables strategically located throughout Amsterdam Zuidoost, as well a web version accessible for anyone with internet.
